Steeldeck Rentals were proud to support the 2025 WhatsOnStage Awards, celebrating the incredible talent and dedication within the theatre industry. Marking its 25th anniversary, this year’s prestigious event took place at The London Palladium, recognising outstanding achievements in theatre as the only UK awards nominated and voted for by the public. We were thrilled to attend the evening, witnessing remarkable performances from some of the biggest shows, accompanied by a stunning 24-piece orchestra.

As well as sponsoring the event, we played a key role in bringing the stage to life, supplying Steeldeck including legs, treads, and skirting to support the main stage. Our commitment to the theatre industry extends beyond awards night and we were delighted to contribute our staging and seating solutions to some of the winners and nominees’, including Babies The Musical, 42 Balloons, and Oliver!

New appointment

Steeldeck is delighted to announce the appointment of Katherine Herzog Parsons as the new Group CEO. Taking over the role from her father, Philip Parsons, who founded the original Steeldeck® platform in 1985. Katherine steps into the position with a strong vision for the company’s future while honouring its rich legacy.

Katherine brings a wealth of experience in finance, investment, and technology. She joined BP in 2010, rising to the position of Head of Low Carbon Trading Platforms. Passionate about sustainability and the energy transition, Katherine has led investments and represented BP on the board of various climate tech start-ups.

As Steeldeck continues to expand its presence across the UK and the USA, with branches in London, Manchester, Los Angeles, and New York, Katherine’s leadership is set to guide the company into its next phase of growth.
