Taste the rainbow
Working for creative studio Bompas & Parr is always exciting and our most recent temporary stage hire for the team was no exception. This time, we created temporary staging for their Royal Docks Rainbows installation in London. Yes, the event featured actual rainbows!
Our brief was to design a stage and access for the event, which was to staged under the Silvertown overpass, a space which was tricky to say the least, due to the multiple columns in the space and very uneven ground. Luckily, we’re used to complex staging hires, and built our own access routes to get our Steeldeck staging and other kit into the build area. We then erected a large stage for the event itself, complete with front of house and backstage areas and two separate ramps for access – one of which was almost 30 metres long.
The result was an incredible sensory experience that immersed you in the history of the Royal Docks and the borough of Newham in east London.
