Easy access is a crucial element for the success of any event. Creating accessible viewing platforms is second nature to us, and we have many years of experience of fitting ramps in even the most restrictive situations. We’re highly proficient in offering DDA-compliant ramps, backstage kit ramps, car ramps, or a sufficient number of stairs for performers and spectators to access stages or viewing platforms. We are well-versed in the latest regulations applicable to access, provision of landing areas, and the required size of viewing spaces. Above all, we prioritise structurally safe design.

This small stage was part of our hire for Parklife Festival in Manchester. The accessible viewing platform includes a ramp and a lower-height guardrail at the front, ensuring excellent sightlines for all audiences. The platform is levelled with screw jacks to provide a safe, flat surface.
This fully DDA-compliant access ramp, installed for the Grenfell Tower Memorial Day, ensured safe and inclusive access for all attendees, and facilitated entry to a large outdoor stage we constructed.
We constructed this DDA-compliant ramp at the Greenbelt Festival in Northamptonshire to facilitate wheelchair access down a grassy bank to the lake. The ramp features a balustrade guardrail, ensuring safe access for everyone.
In this stage hire build, we supplied a low-level accessible Steeldeck platform for a temporary bus stop at Three Bridges Station during a scheduled railway line closure for maintenance. The platform was equipped with a non-slip finish and GRP safety edging for enhanced safety.

“We are pulling together a list of companies that offer access provision; as part of this I’d like to include Steeldeck for viewing platforms as their work for BT River of Music was great. ”
