Steeldeck were delighted to find ourselves back at the Edinburgh Fringe yet again, working on behalf of Pleasance Theatres within their Pleasance Two venue. With space ever at a premium, we found ourselves building wall to wall with only a few millimetres to spare, in order to achieve the desired seat count. With a packed venue, sightlines were enhanced through the usage of a parabolic raking ensuring a great view for everyone.
Edinburgh and Glasgow. Two extremely different cities both with gargantuan offerings. Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital city, boasts many an epic historical monument from Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile, Holyrood, Princess Street and Forth Road Bridge. Glasgow conversely, the second largest city in Scotland, enjoys a plethora of magnificent (mostly free) museums including The Transport Museum, Kelvingrove Art Gallery, The People’s Palace and Burrell Collection to name but a few. What both cities have in common is that they are bursting with great culture, restaurants, shopping and nightlife with Edinburgh playing host to the annual Edinburgh Festival. Working at the festival is one of most prided projects and we are always excited to see what both these great cities of arts and culture have in store for us.
