Steeldeck Rentals is looking for full time and self-employed Part 2 qualified scaffolders to assist our installation crew on an ad-hoc basis from May to September. Steeldeck has been providing creative, flexible and safe portable staging hire and tiered seating solutions to a wide range of events and productions for over 30 years.
The company is growing constantly, and this is an exciting and vital time. We have branches in Manchester and London and due to our continued expansion, we are looking for hardworking and dedicated individuals to join our teams out on-site at various event venues, festivals and TV studios across the UK.
Duties will include:
- Assembling and dismantling structures to a set plan with safety in mind at all times
- Working as part of a large team of crew to complete projects within set timescales
- Following processes and directions
- Assisting in the safe loading and unloading of transport vehicles
Key attributes:
- To have the ability to think ahead to keep the build process moving smoothly
- To be able to maintain efficient and safe methods of working
- To be a good team member but also the ability to think as an individual
- Working within highly professional environments and conducting yourself accordingly
- Punctuality is a must as we work on strict schedules
The events industry isn’t just 9-5 and all applicants must be able to travel as needed and work at unsociable hours as required.
You must be qualified to CISRS part 2. A full UK driving licence is advantageous.

Fixed term Event Stage Installation Team Member (Manchester)
Steeldeck Rentals are looking for a Crew Members to join our Installation Crew. Steeldeck Rentals have been providing creative, flexible and safe portable staging hire and tiered seating solutions to a wide range of events and productions for over 25 years.
The company is growing constantly and this is an exciting and vital time. Due to our continued expansion, we are looking for hard working and dedicated individuals to join our team at our base in Trafford Park and out on site at various event venues, festivals and TV studios.
Along with being on site, there will be a requirement to help the Warehouse Team to prepare kit ready for upcoming builds.
The events industry isn’t just 9-5 and all applicants must be able to travel as needed and work at unsociable hours as required. Working with our product can be a very physical process and candidates should be aware of this.
Duties will include:
- Assisting in safe loading and unloading transport vehicles
- Assisting in preparing kit lists ready to be transported to site
- Stock maintenance and stock control
- Assisting with small deliveries and collections.
- Assembling and dismantling structures to a set plan with safety in mind at all times.

- To have the ability to think ahead to keep the build process moving smoothly
- To be able to maintain efficient and safe methods of working
- To be a good team member but also the ability to think as an individual
- Working within highly professional environments and conducting yourself accordingly

This is a fixed-term contract from May 2022 – September 2022, normal working hours are 08:00 – 16:30, Monday – Friday although you will be expected to work outside of these hours. Part time roles are available.
£10 – £13 per hour depending on experience. Steeldeck Rentals are a Living Wage Foundation accredited employer.
A full UK driving licence is preferred for the role. Applicants should have a basic knowledge of construction principles and site safety. It would also be desirable if you had an FLT or telehandler licence although this isn’t essential.
Contract length: 5 months
Part-time hours: 40 per week

Our warehouse is integral to the business and our continued success and we are looking for hard working and dedicated individuals who are able to work self sufficiently and to deadlines. Working with our product can be a very physical process and candidates should be aware of this.
Duties will include:
- Assisting in safe loading and unloading transport vehicles
- Assisting in preparing kit lists ready to be transported to site
- Stock maintenance and stock control
- Travelling to site if required to assist on builds.
- Assembling and dismantling structures from deck layout, guard railing, tiered seating, and bracing
Key attributes:
- An eye for details to ensure the correct kit is loaded for each job
- To be able to maintain efficient and safe methods of working
- To be a good team member but also the ability to think as an individual
- Working within highly professional environments and conducting yourself accordingly
- Punctuality is a must as we work on strict schedules
